5 - Day (Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) Classroom, Field Training, and Online Testing for BPI Building Analyst Certification

Topics include:

Building Science and “The House as a System” approach,
Energy Auditing principles,
Diagnosing Moisture Issues,
IAQ Issues,
Fire Hazards,
GasLeakage Detection,
CAZ (Combustion Appliance zone) Depressurization,
Combustion Safety Testing,
CO Testing

Cost will be $1,895 total for the class, books and BPI testing fees. If you are unable to provide the full fee upon registration, $500 must be paid up front for book orders and testing site registration, and a check for the full price must be in hand two weeks prior to the start of the class.


 

BPI Healthy Homes Evaluator Training Course

The HHE assesses home-based environmental health and safety hazards and provides a prioritized list of recommendations to address those hazards

3 - Day (Tuesday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) Class and Online Testing for BPI Healthy Homes Evaluator Certification

Developed in partnership with the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, (GHHI) the HHE micro-credential builds upon the BPI Building Analyst (BA),Energy Auditor (EA) or Quality Control Inspector (QCI) certifications to verify competencies required to conduct in-depth healthy home environmental risk assessments.

The Healthy Home Evaluator assesses home-based environmental health and safety hazards and provides a prioritized list of recommendations to address those hazards. The HHE credential is a critical building block and a core principal of building science-based work for home performance contractors and Weatherization Assistance Programs (WAP). The HHE credential establishes a higher level of health and safety knowledge for BA, EA and QCI certified individuals.
